About Us

Welcome to our website, thank you for visiting. We are The Chillees, Husband & Wife team Nick & Francine Lee; producing our own spicy chilli sauces and preserves made from our own Chillies, grown here in Somerset.
Located in Norton Fitzwarren (near Taunton), we have some fabulous local small businesses we can call upon for everything from fruit and veg we don't grow ourselves to the jars, bottles and consumables we use.
Alongside the spicy chilli range Francine also produces more traditional Jams, Chutneys and Pickles under the name of "Bumblee's Preserves". Again as much of the produce as possible is home grown, sourcing from local growers, farm shops or independent greengrocers, that which we don't grow ourselves. We proudly support other local small businesses where we can.
What made us start
Having grown and enjoyed chillies for many years, Francine started introducing them into the jams and chutneys she made, not only for ourselves but as gifts for friends, family and neighbours, as well as making for local charities. After many compliments on our flavours, we were asked if we were planning to sell them. Well, there are only so many times you can say no.
So finally in July 2012, we researched all the necessary legal and hygiene requirements, contacted all the authorities to cross all the T's and dot all the I's.
Although the weather was somewhat unkind throughout 2012, the chillies grew & produced some lovely pods, from which we made a range of sauces and jams.
In 2013 we were ready to launch our range to the public. Everyone who tasted our products not only enjoyed them, but bought something! We were over the moon, to say the least.
Since then we now attend various local Markets and events on a regular basis. We'd love to see you there, where you can try our range for yourselves.
Definately crossed the right T's and dotted the correct I's
